WILL WAS A LOVING SON, BROTHER AND FATHER. HIS FAMILY SAYS HE LOVED BEING A LINEMAN AND HELPING OTHERS. THAT IS CRUSHED US. IT. HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE THE MOMENT YOU FIND OUT YOUR BROTHER IS GONE? FRITZ EVANS AND HIS FATHER, GLENN, WERE ON THEIR WAY TO THE HOSPITAL AFTER HEARING THAT WILL WAS IN A CRASH. THEY WERE ALMOST THERE WHEN THEY GOT THE CALL. WILL DIDN’T MAKE IT. IT WAS A LONG, LONG, LONG CAR RIDE BACK HOME. SO THEN WE HAD TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IN THE WORLD WOULD WE BE DOING? BECAUSE. NO ONE, NO ONE’S PREPARED FOR THAT KIND OF THING. FRITZ WAS CLOSE TO HIS BROTHER. HE REMEMBERS FISHING WITH WILL AND HIS DAD AT RANDLEMAN LAKE. HE SAYS WILL WAS LARGER THAN LIFE AND LOVED HELPING OTHERS. THE EVANS FAMILY WANTED EVERYONE TO SEE THIS PICTURE OF WILL ON HIS FOUR WHEELER. HE WAS A FAMILY MAN AND HE AND HE WAS ALSO. HE WAS THERE FOR PEOPLE. HE HE WAS ONE OF THE HE WAS ONE OF THE PEOPLE YOU’D HAVE ON YOUR SPEED DIAL WHENEVER YOU NEEDED SOMEONE MOST TO GET THINGS DONE, OR IF YOU JUST NEED SOMEONE TO, TO TALK TO. HE WAS THAT GUY. WILL ALSO ADORED HIS THREE YEAR OLD SON, COLSON. HIS SON IS GOING TO HAVE TO GROW UP WITHOUT A DADDY, AND I’M GOING TO TRY AND BE THERE BEST I CAN FOR FOR MY NEPHEW, BECAUSE THAT’S THE ONLY PIECE OF MY BROTHER I GOT LEFT. THE EVANS FAMILY SAYS PLENTY OF TEARS ARE BEING SHED AS THEY REMEMBER WILL, AND TRY TO PROCESS WHAT HAS HAPPENED. IT’S A SHAME AND IT’S NOT A PAIN. I REALLY WISH ON ANYONE BUT WE’RE WE’RE TRYING TO WRAP EVERYTHING UP AND IT’S AND IT’S NOT AND IT’S NOT GETTING EASIER. THE FAMILY IS STILL FINALIZING FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR WILL. The family of lineman Will Evans is remembering him after he was one of four workers killed in a crash in Eden on Thursday. Will Evans' father, Glen, can't talk about his son without tearing up. They describe him as a loving son, brother and father. The Evans family said Will loved being a lineman and helping others. Will's brother, Fritz, says he and his dad were on the way to the hospital after hearing Will was in a car accident when they received the call that he was gone.“It was a long, long, long car ride back home. So then we had to figure out what in the world would we be doing? Because no one's prepared for that kind of thing,” he said. Fritz was close to his brother and remembers fishing at Randleman Lake with Will and their dad. Fritz says Will was larger than life and loved helping others. He also was a loving father to his 3-year-old son Kolson.“His son's going to have to grow up without a daddy. And I'm going to try and be there best I can for my nephew, because that's the only piece of my brother I got left,” he said. Fritz said he and his family are praying for the other victims and their families.
